A new season (or month or week or day, as far as we’re concerned) equals a new beauty stash, always. Here are a few of our absolute must-try new shelfies this September.
It took us longer than we are proud to admit to understand how Kérastase new Cleansing Conditioner works. Conditioner? Shampoo? Pre-conditioner? It seems we found beauty Nirvana - this product does it all. Designed for colour-treated, curly tresses, it leaves locks light, clean and defined, and all without the inclusion of sulfates (so gentle on strands). And don't worry - it might be dual action, but it's no rehash of the dubious two-in-one shampoo and conditioners of yesteryear. It's serious haircare.
Natural product inclined beauties will go wild for Biology skincare. Normally bars of soap are avoided like the plague (no one forgets the tight dry feeling on the skin that generic soap causes), but Biology’s natural Moisture Therapy Bar, palm-oil free version leaves the skin soft and supple, not sapped. Australian made, cruelty free and packed with wattle seed to exfoliate, we (now) have that clean soap feeling without the stripped bare skin. Even better, the packaging means boyfriends and hubbies won’t be scared off, too. After all, the only thing better than having soft skin, is touching soft skin.
Most of us have seasonal foundation shades (or, should do). Even the most fair skinned of us will have a little colour in hotter months, faux or no (tsk tsk). But there are always those few weeks spent artfully mixing formulas, trying to match our complexion. Enter: the Shade Adjusting Drops from The Body Shop. Simply add a little of either the lightening or darkening drops into your existing foundation until you achieve your desired shade. Perfect for seasonal transitioning.
Using celebrity ‘getting ready for the Oscars’ use of under eye patches might make you feel very Gigi, but they will also make you look very Gigi (well, as close as us mortals can get anyway). These eye bag busters pack a serious punch (no pun intended). Comfort Zone is an Italian brand that’s making its way onto our shores. The Sublime Skin Eye Patches are enriched with peptide compounds to boost puffy, lined peepers. We suggest using them before a big event when you want to look extra sparkly-eyed.
Dry shampoo has had its time in the sun, but Goldwell have stepped up the day-old hair game with their new Kerasilk Colour Dry Shampoo. Unlike the powder-based formulas we’re used to, it leaves zero residue, and no grey or white-ish tint, even on the darkest brunettes. You can pick them up at any Goldwell Salon.
