Axis hairdressing is an established family owned salon in Canberra. When I was a student at ANU I use to get my hair cut and coloured at Axis ANU. After graduating uni I started going to a local hairdressers. I had a great hairdresser there, but when she left I felt like I needed a change.

Axis had just opened up their new salon in the now trendy part of Canberra, Braddon. I thought what better place to go than where I would feel at home. Axis is owned by Adam and Nichol Ciaccia. Adam used to do my hair at Axis ANU so I rang up and booked an appointment with Adam to cut my hair and senior colourist Lexi.

The large copper doors that open up into Axis hairdressing salon are now iconic in Braddon. My first time back at Axis was like coming home, Adam and Lexi nailed my cut and colour. I trust them completely with my hair and have had a few changes including: cutting my long hair into a bob and dying my blond hair brunette.

Owners Adam and Nichol have thought of every little detail in the salon in Braddon, from the way that you are greeted when you arrive to when you walk out of the salon with a fantastic blow dry (walking down the street like you are in a hair advertisement). The icing on the cake of the Axis experience is the scalp massage. This is no ordinary head massage, it would rival any massage place as the best head massage that I have had.

If you are interested in what the Axis experience would be like check out Axis web series, Tease, on the Axis Hair website.
