Margaret Zhang is always on the go. Running from meetings for her blog Shine By Three, travelling internationally and squeezing in law and commerce classes at Sydney Uni between it all, the girl certainly knows how to pack a handbag. She breaks it down for us.

Daytime

“It’s just about what’s practical,” says Margaret. “Depending on where you’re going. If you’re somewhere with a lot of air-conditioning you’ll be dried out, or if you’re outside a lot and you need moisturiser, or if you’re going to sweat a lot you’ll need cleansing wipes. Always see it practically. Ironically, I always think more practically in beauty products than I do in clothes.”

Nighttime

“Make it minimal so there’s less thing to lose,” says Margaret. “I lose everything, not that I even drink, I just like put things down and then I forget where I put them. It’s always good to have a little cross body bag, and you can fit cards and a tiny lipstick, like this Tom Ford one. I used to wear heels everyday, but flats are just better for your feet…”

Weekend

“Always have sunscreen, always have comfy shoes, sunglasses and fun colours. I always wear fun colours on the weekend because during the week I’m like a boy – tailored. Also all my cards and stuff in a holder so that I can transfer between handbags, some fun lip glosses and a facial mist because you get dry during the day and it makes you feel awesome.”

I loved that post! Love Margaret and have been a fan of her since I first started reading her blog a few years back. She’s one of the rare few fashion bloggers who are worth reading. She’s incredibly intelligent and I love her writing.
P.S. though I should point out the flats in the first photo are not by Givenchy, but Valentino 🙂
