Over the past few months, I’ve been on a quest to find the ultimate LED mask to help combat fine lines and skin laxity that I’m noticing as I progress through my forties. I’ve seen a slew of contenders, but the buzz around the Qure LED Mask had me especially intrigued. Featured in glowing reviews from authorities like Doctorly and US Vogue, I was intrigued to try it. Could this be the holy grail I’ve been searching for?

From the moment I unbox the Qure LED Mask, the excitement is palpable. Unlike many other LED masks I’ve tried, which often feel more like a chore than a treat, the Qure mask seems like a breath of fresh air. Designed for the time-poor among us (and isn’t that all of us?), it promises a complete treatment in just three minutes a day. Given that I feel time-starved constantly, the prospect of slipping in a quick skin boost is especially alluring.

The standout feature of the Qure mask is its customizability. Many LED masks offer limited options, typically sticking to one or two light colors. The Qure, which is TGA and FDA registered, however, boasts five different wavelengths spread across two genius and targeted treatment modes:

  1. Anti-Aging Treatment: This mode harnesses the power of Red, Deep Red, Infrared, Amber, and Blue lights. It’s perfect for those of us looking to combat fine lines and enhance skin’s firmness through boosted collagen and elastin production.

  1. Anti-Breakout Treatment: Utilizing Blue and Red lights, this mode is ideal for tackling acne-prone areas. The combination produces a purple hue that’s not only effective but visually soothing.

Connecting the mask to my phone via Bluetooth is a breeze, thanks to the intuitive app that accompanies the Qure. Here, I can personalize my treatment according to my specific skin concerns. As someone who deals with monthly hormonal breakouts typically concentrated around my chin, I opt for the Anti-Breakout Treatment in that area while setting the rest of my mask to Anti-Aging mode.

Unlike many masks that leave me feeling claustrophobic, the Qure is comfortable and lightweight. It features a hard shell exterior for durability and a soft, molded silicone interior that contours smoothly to my face. An adjustable strap ensures a perfect fit, and there are no cords or chargers hanging off me, so I can move about with ease and get on with making the kids lunches or putting a sneaky load of washing on. Post-use, a simple wipe with an alcohol spray keeps the mask clean and ready for the next use.

If I’m ever too rushed to fiddle with the app, I default to running three minutes on the Anti-Aging setting followed by three minutes on Anti-Breakout. A bit of extra LED light therapy can never hurt, right?

All I know is I’ve been using LED masks consistently since I turned 40 and my skin is looking much better than I would have expected. I notice when I stop using them for a month or two my skin suddenly looks dull and dehydrated: a sure fire sign that I’m onto a good thing with the masks.

From a value standpoint, the Qure LED Mask is also a great deal. Priced around the $500 mark, it’s more affordable than many of its peers yet doesn’t skimp on features or functionality. For those of us who value both efficacy and efficiency in our skincare tools, the Qure is a top contender. Especially for those who don’t have the time or the wherewithal to spend hours inert and basking in LED.

Now for the cherry on top: I’ve got a special offer from the kind people at Qure. Click this link to purchase and it will automatically apply a 10% discount.

And remember, LED is all about consistency. You really do need to commit it every day for around 2-3 months to see good results. Thankfully if it’s only a 3 minute session, you’re much more likely to. I’m all for ease and speed when it comes to beauty and the Qure mask is definitely the most simple and swift I’ve tried.
