Dannii Minogue’s Blonde Hair Was A 12 Hour Mane Mission… You Read Right

Aussie sweetheart Dannii Minogue revealed a new ombré blonde lob over the weekend, proving that the perennial screen star can pull off lighter and darker hues with ease (cue jealousy). A change so drastic though isn’t without its challenges… When we caught up with Dannii yesterday, she revealed the entire process took almost 11 hours to complete – for context, binge watching The Crown season 1 would take you 10 hours. That’s some dedication to one’s own crown.

Normally, to transition from medium brown to blonde would be done over a series of weeks (excepting you, Kardashian/Jenners), however the L’Oreal Professionnel team lightened Dannii’s colour in one day – starting at 10am and working right through to around 9pm. Dannii explained that her hair stayed so strong using L’Oreal Professionnel’s new in-salon service, SmartBond. Perfect for colour addicts, it repairs damage inflicted on hair due to excessive colour and bleaching.

She confessed she’s been carrying a screen shot of her dream hair for months, but her manager was sitting on the fence about such a big change (Dannii hasn’t been blonde since the nineties!). Her new colour looks amazing, and we’ll admit she looks so much more like her sister, Kylie. It dishes up some serious hair-spiration if you’re thinking of lightening your locks.
