Driving into the Byron Bay hinterland, where the hills roll like waves and the light feels almost otherworldly, I arrived at Three Meadows—a 50-acre haven promising the kind of luxury that doesn’t shout but whispers. Tucked just 15 minutes from Byron town, this beautiful property feels secluded yet so accessible, a rarity for spaces of this scale. Read on for your special discount and check out my walk through reel here.

I’m here with Damien and the kids on a content production trip for the Beautiful Inside by Beauticate podcast. There are so many great people to interview up in Byron and on the Gold Coast, so I wanted to plant myself somewhere central so that I could get around to all my locations easily. It was nice to bring the family on this trip with me so I could still spend some time with them, while also working my bottom off during the day. The kids were drawn by the promise of a pool and plenty of room to run around

The moment we step inside, we’re struck by the sheer sense of calm. The house is airy and lofty, a dreamy palette of white and beige enriched with natural textures. Sunlight pours in through expansive windows, while raw timber beams—repurposed from the original orchard—add a grounding, rustic charm. The organic timber elements scattered throughout the house tell their own story, having been reclaimed from an old railway bridge. This clever balance of old and new runs through every detail of Three Meadows, giving it a warmth that feels so personal and considered.

And it is personal. So much of what makes this place special comes from the vision of its owner, Aaron—a jeweller-turned-furniture-designer whose artistry is everywhere. From the handmade doors and light fittings to the stunning stone bathtubs, every corner of the house has been infused with thoughtfulness and craftsmanship. Even the objets d’art—delightful curios dotted throughout the home— lending a sense of connection to the space.

I slip into one of the plush bathrobes (they are impossibly soft, by the way) and settle in to work on my notes for tomorrow’s interview with Emma Lane – the creative behind The Range Estates who is at Copperstone, just around the corner in Bangalow. Damien sets himself up to work at the dining table and I head down to the office for some quiet. It’s the kind of house where you can spread out and have space while still feeling connected. There are plenty of private nooks for solitude, but also large, inviting living spaces to gather and reconnect.

Outside, the grounds are just as captivating. Sculptures, crafted from repurposed oil drums, rise up like industrial flowers across the gardens. Some of these were even made in Aaron’s factory in Vietnam, adding a global nomadic charm to the estate’s landscape. The lawns stretch endlessly, and the gardens buzz with life, making you want to slow down, breathe deep, and truly take it all in.

One of the things I love most about Three Meadows is how perfectly it balances relaxation and celebration. With multiple event spaces, it’s easy to see why this place is such a sought-after destination for weddings, retreats, or milestone celebrations. The spaces on offer?

  • The Shed: A versatile, rustic-luxe space ideal for intimate ceremonies, recovery drinks, and long-table soirees. Its barn doors open wide to reveal breathtaking hinterland views, but it also works beautifully as a cozy, all-weather option.
  • The Pavilion: A magical space crafted from reclaimed timber, complete with handmade chandeliers. It’s perfect for a long-table dinner under the stars, where you feel cocooned by nature with just the right amount of shelter.
  • The Meadows: The expansive lawns and flowering gardens are made for elevated outdoor celebrations. Whether it’s a cocktail party or a wedding, it’s a backdrop that feels both intimate and spectacular, especially in the golden hour glow of Byron’s sunsets.
  • The Cottage: Additional accommodation on site that sleeps four, the cottage is beautifully designed and features an outdoor stone bath as well as another epic bath and bathroom with a sliding door that opens fully to enjoy views of the garden while still feeling private.

Every detail here has been carefully considered. The beds—swathed in Eadie Lifestyle linens—are cloud-soft, giving me the best night’s sleep I’ve had in ages. The kitchen, stocked with artisanal ceramics, feels as curated as the rest of the property. And the bathrooms, complete with Grown Alchemist products and those beautiful handmade stone baths, make bathing feel like a ritual. There are even multiple bathing spaces with stunning views out to the endless green, so you can quite literally soak it all in.

The team at Three Meadows have thought of everything. The in-house concierge creates memorable experiences tailored to your mood—whether it’s a sunrise horse ride along the beach with Zephyr Horses (which I did with Max – it was literally magic!), a massage or breathwork session with Sara Searle, or even stocking the pantry with a hamper from Bay Grocer before you arrive.

I can’t talk about relaxation without mentioning Jodi Anderson from Byron Spa, who brought the spa experience directly to the house. With over 14 years of experience at some of the world’s top retreats, Jodi’s treatments are next level. I opt for the LED Signature Facial, and it was nothing short of heavenly—a perfect blend of results-driven skincare and holistic relaxation.

Over the next few days I smash out interviews with Nagnata’s Laura May, Gary Gorrow and The Nervous System School’s Jessica Maguire which I recorded on site at the beautiful Cottage (coming soon).

When it’s time to check out I feel bereft. Three Meadows is more than just a beautiful property; it’s a retreat for the senses. Every handmade detail, every carefully curated space, whispers luxury in the most soulful way. Whether you’re gathering for a celebration, escaping for a romantic weekend, or simply pressing pause to recharge, this hinterland haven feels like a gift—an invitation to slow down, reconnect, and soak up the beauty of Byron’s rolling hills.
