Sacred Six for Stress and Sanity

I have spent the past year quietly building a whole new chapter of Beauticate. It has been creative and fulfilling and, if I am honest, the most stressful season of my life. These are the six rituals keeping me sane.

Why Stress Management Matters Now

I am writing this with a knot in my shoulder and a to-do list that refuses to end. Over the past year I have been quietly building a whole new chapter of Beauticate. It has been exciting, creative and deeply fulfilling. It has also, if I am honest, been the most stressful stretch of my life.

So in this solo Sacred Six episode I am not theorising. I am handing over the six rituals, tools and practices that have actually kept me grounded, regulated my nervous system and protected my wellbeing through long workdays, chronic pain, anxiety and the kind of overwhelm that creeps up before you notice it.

If you have been feeling stretched too thin, sleeping badly or simply trying to hold everything together, this one is for you. Small rituals, I have learned, do the heavy lifting.

Infrared Sauna, Walks and Breathwork

1

Infrared Sauna for the Nervous System

This is my non-negotiable. Twenty minutes in an infrared sauna and my whole body downshifts. The chatter quietens, the tension in my neck loosens, and I sleep better that night. It has become my reset for stress, sleep and chronic pain all at once. I use the Nook Infrared Sauna at home, and the code BEAUTICATE will sort you out if you want one of your own.

Small rituals, I have learned, do the heavy lifting.

2

Walks, Friendship and Community

When my head is loudest, the answer is rarely to be alone with it. A walk with a friend does what no app can. We move, we talk, we offload, and somewhere around the second kilometre everything feels more manageable. The research on community and mental health is clear, but you feel it long before you read it. We started a Beauticate Walk and Talk WhatsApp group for exactly this, so come and walk with us.

3

Breathwork That Shifts Everything

I came to breathwork sceptical and left a convert. A single 9D session with Brooke Stephenson at Luxe Wellness Collective moved something I had been carrying for months. Your breath is the fastest, cheapest, most portable tool you own for changing your state, and most of us are barely using it.

Meditation, Massage and Vagus Nerve Tools

4

Meditation, Sleep and Habit Stacking

This is the ritual I have relied on the longest. Most nights I stack a guided meditation onto my wind-down, either in the sauna or while wearing my LED mask (beautifying and relaxing, killing two birds). I pair my San Lueur LED mask with a guided meditation from Insight Timer, which is free and has a meditation for every mood, anxiety, insomnia, the lot. If you struggle with sleep, try their yoga nidra tracks. I love Jennifer Piercy and David Ji.

5

The Heated Neck Massager I Use Daily

Chronic neck and back tension is the physical face of my stress, and a heated massage is the quickest relief I have found. My Kiicity neck massager lives within arm's reach of my desk and earns its place every single day, and you can now find it in our shop.

6

Vagus Nerve Stimulation with Pulsetto

This is the surprise of the lot. The Pulsetto is a small wearable that gently stimulates the vagus nerve, and it has become a daily non-negotiable for calming stress, anxiety and the racing mind before sleep. Beauticate listeners can use the code BEAUTICATE for 15 per cent off.

Building Your Own Stress Relief Kit

None of these are a cure. They are a kit. And on the days everything feels like too much, having the kit ready is what gets me through.

If this episode helped, I would be so grateful if you left a review, rated the podcast and shared it with a friend who needs it. It is how we keep these conversations going and reach more women who need them.

This episode is proudly supported by Pulsetto, a wearable vagus nerve stimulation device designed to help regulate stress, anxiety, burnout and sleep. Beauticate listeners can use the code BEAUTICATE for 15 per cent off.
